Scream (1996)
1996’s Scream is a really popular slasher film and was my first introduction to the horror genre in movies. I love all of the Scream movies, although I have yet to watch its newest 2026 installment, and the 1996 original is my favorite of them all, an opinion I share with many others. The opening…

Avengers: Age of Ultron
Avengers: Age of Ultron is the second Avengers movie, and it might be one of my favorites. It shows the Avengers as established heroes and does a great job developing the characters Ultron and Vision, as well as their adaptation of the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. We also see a lot more of the Avengers…

Guardians of the Galaxy
I absolutely love Guardians of the Galaxy; it’s the first MCU movie to take place off of Earth, and James Gunn does a really good job incorporating that setting into the plot and direction of the movie. It feels so different from the Marvel movies that came before it, with a completely different cast of…

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the second Captain America film released, and a really strong addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s my favorite Captain America movie and one of my favorite movies in the whole MCU. This movie is a really good movie to follow up on Captain America: The First Avenger; it…

Iron Man 3
I really loved this movie. Iron Man 3 is a really good Iron Man movie, and a great follow-up to The Avengers. It addresses Tony’s ptsd from the Battle of New York against Loki and the Chitauri, with Tony almost dying in a wormhole, and I really like how they show how much he’s affected…

The Avengers (2012)
I really loved the first Avengers movie. It was a really fun watch, and it was the first Marvel movie to bring all their main characters together, which was really cool to see. Not many movies ever have big crossovers with characters from different movies, and even though I was only 2 in 2012, I can guess…

Captain America: The First Avenger
I loved Captain America: The First Avenger; it’s a really good story about morality and how the best leader isn’t always the strongest, but the one best suited mentally. I walked into this movie completely blind to the story, so I was very confused seeing Captain America in 1940s New York when I’ve seen clips…

Thor
I really liked the first Thor movie, which honestly surprised me. I went in with low expectations; I was going to skip it at first, but I ended up really liking it. I like the idea of a movie opposite the previous superhero movies, where a regular person gains abilities, and a god loses his…

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2 was the first-ever sequel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I honestly really enjoyed it. It felt much bigger than the first Iron Man, with a wider variety of sets and a higher budget, making it a really fun movie to watch. With this higher budget, we get to see more of Tony’s…
